Good day, CharterFolk.
As you head into what I hope will be a great weekend, Andy and I are happy to share our latest WonkyFolk discussion.
Here is a link to the podcast and to a transcript of the conversation.
You can also access the conversation here on YouTube.
We kicked things off by speculating about what it would mean for education policy if the U.S. acquired Canada, and we were off to the races from there.
I tried to get Andy’s take on the SCOTUS oral arguments from his more neutral stance on charter schools, but he kept directing back to me, which I kept obliging. It ended up yielding a fairly succinct summary of where I think the legal arguments stand. When we turned to developments related to the federal budget, Andy took the wheel again.
From there, the speculating turned to future budget issues playing out across all of public education, and how the pace of change is accelerating beyond anything we’ve seen before.
As ever, it was an hour with Andy Rotherham that left me thinking about a whole host of things in a new light. I hope you’ll find the same.
